This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share.
Booku Po’Boys has been more than a restaurant—it has been my dream. After years of construction delays, unexpected setbacks, and mounting debt before we even had the chance to truly get started, we’ve made the heartbreaking decision to close our doors.
I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for a chance to recover, honor the commitments I’ve made, and rebuild after giving this dream everything I had.

😂 I know some of y’all think I invented the Po’Boy…
But let me give credit where it’s due. ⚜️
The Po’Boy was born in New Orleans in 1929, when two brothers fed striking streetcar workers for free. Every time another worker came in, they’d say, “Here comes another poor boy.”
And just like that, a legend was born.
We’re just proud to keep that New Orleans tradition alive every day at Booku Po’Boys. 🥖❤️
