It’s been a while since I put down the buttercream to say hi. I’m Leslie, the second generation owner of Fantasy Frostings. My mom, Joyce, founded the bakery back in 1971 in Pasadena and I’ve been professionally baking since before I could drive. It’s always been a family run operation, including my husband, Earl, who sometimes can be seen behind the wheel of our delivery truck. Some people call me the buttercream queen. We don’t do fondant. But we do buttercream really, really well. I’ve had the incredible pleasure of creating celebration cakes for generations of families, from wedding cakes to the next gen’s wedding cake and everything in between. I’ve recreated The White House for Ronald Regan, delivered Elizabeth Taylor’s wedding cake to Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, and designed countless movie premier cakes to look like characters. I love what I do. My family loves what we do. And while I’m usually in the kitchen instead of on Instagram, I’m going to do my best to stop by more often. Cheers to a summer season of sweet moments and countless more cake memories.

To reach E. Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, you can take the Gold Line of the Metro Rail which has a station nearby. If you prefer to drive, you can take the 210 Freeway and exit at Lake Avenue or Hill Avenue. There are public parking lots available in the area, as well as street parking with metered spots. From there, you can easily explore the local shops and cafes along E. Colorado Boulevard.
