The undeniable rhythm of the LA Waterfront.
There is a unique pulse here—where industrial scale meets coastal beauty.
From the massive vessels keeping the world moving to the quiet moments on the promenade, you just have to experience it in person.

Before the Vincent Thomas Bridge, there was Berth 84.
Back in 1941, if you needed to cross the Main Channel to Terminal Island, you drove your car right onto a giant double-decker ferry here.
Today, Berth 84 Park is one of the LA Waterfront’s best public spaces. Explore the museum, grab a michelagua and a shrimp tray, find a spot by the water, and watch the harbor move.
Then and now, Berth 84 is where San Pedro meets the water.

Wild encounters, right off the promenade.
When you spend your day at West Harbor, you share the coast with some of the most unique marine life in Southern California. Whether it’s pelicans diving near the docks or sea lions cruising the channel, there is always something moving on the water.
Who is your favorite harbor local?

SlipFor decades, Berth 74 was home to Jankovich’s marine fueling operation, a homegrown San Pedro business with roots tracing back to a Croatian immigrant family that arrived here more than a century ago.
Now, this working waterfront berth is beginning a new chapter.
Berth 74 will become home to West Harbor’s outdoor amphitheater and park, bringing world-class live music and a new public gathering space to the LA Waterfront.
From maritime history to what comes next, the story of Berth 74 continues.
Past, present, and future, echoing across the SP Slip.

For generations, this harbor has been defined by the people who work on it, protect it, and call it home.
Today, on National Coast Guard Day, we thank the dedicated members of the U.S. Coast Guard for their unwavering service to the Port of Los Angeles and our coastal communities.
As West Harbor welcomes a new chapter on the LA Waterfront, we’re proud to celebrate the history, service, and maritime spirit that continue to shape this place.
Thank you for keeping our harbor safe. We are proud to share this coast with you.
