What people say

Sunset Room, located on S Hacienda Boulevard in Hacienda Heights, has recently received mixed reviews from newspaper critics. The most recent review, published by the San Gabriel Valley Tribune in May 2021, gave Sunset Room a rating of two out of five stars. The review criticized the food as "mediocre at best" and the service as "lacking warmth."

However, a review from the Whittier Daily News in March 2021 praised the atmosphere of Sunset Room but found the food to be "hit or miss." The reviewer particularly enjoyed the steak and cocktails but found some dishes to be overcooked.

Customers who have posted online reviews on Yelp also had mixed experiences. One customer commented that they "loved everything about this place," while another stated that their experience was "disappointing." A common complaint among negative reviews was slow service and high prices.

Overall, it seems that Sunset Room has some strengths but also areas where improvement is needed.
