PDCs Original Building & Kitchen is One Step Closer to Preservation!
We are deeply grateful for the over 70 people who showed up at the CHC meeting, and for those who spoke and emailed to express their support.
The outcome of the Cultural Heritage Commission meeting yesterday was that Pacific Dining Car’s original building and kitchen were recommended for HCM status. We’re excited that progress is being made towards preservation of our family’s legacy.

1. Public Transport: Take the Metro Red or Purple Line to Pershing Square Station. Then, exit towards 6th Street and walk west for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, take Bus #16 or #316 to 6th/Westlake Station and walk east for about two minutes.
2. Driving and Parking: If coming from the east, take the 101 Freeway West towards Los Angeles and exit at Broadway. Turn right on Broadway and continue straight until you reach W 6th Street, then turn left. If coming from the west, take the 10 Freeway East towards Los Angeles and exit at Vermont Ave. Turn left on Vermont Ave and continue straight until you reach W 6th Street, then turn right. There is a paid parking lot located next to Pacific Dining Car or street parking may be available nearby but is limited.
