Twenty years of The Redwood calls for a proper downtown celebration, and tonight's featured artist is about as DTLA as it gets.
Lightnin' Woodcock comes straight up out of downtown LA's dirty underbelly. He's a preacher who went over to the devil's side and traded his soul for a guitar that howls. The local faithful call him the “ Smoochie Coochie Man “. His sets are filthy punk-blues sermons about s*x, drugs, and voodoo, delivered like a final confession. Show him some love tonight.
Twenty years of Redwood wouldn't be the same without characters like him….

The Redwood Bar on W 2nd Street in Los Angeles is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great night out.
