Thunderbolt is proud to once again be a part of Shochu Month — a month-long celebration of Japanese shochu, a distilled spirit made from sweet potato, barley, rice, or black sugar.
Our head bartender, Tom Liu (), has created two Shochu cocktails that will be available until Feb. 21:
The Raichi Highball features Daiyame, a Shochu distilled from sweet potatoes. The unique floral nose of Daiyame is combined with lychee black tea and Pisco. By force carbonating the cocktail, Tom was able to create a refreshing and effervescent lychee flavored high ball.
The Nashi Martini pairs the complex and savory notes of Iichiko Saiten, a barley Shochu, with Asian Pear and buckwheat tea. A touch of manzanilla sherry is added to create a layered and complex pear Martini.

From 10/30 to 11/2, we’re transforming into your favorite fictional, chef-worship-y, fine-dining restaurant, including the Italian beef shop out back!
At the bar, Le Bolt will serve a fully-pretentious, fine-dining menu of cocktails, replete with all the pomp & circumstance (don’t worry they’re as painstakingly-developed as every Thunderbolt cocktail).
From the kitchen, The Bolt will be slinging Chicago-style Italian beefs and other delicious classics in collaboration with the sub-sando geniuses from !

To get to the cocktail bar and restaurant on W. Temple Street in Los Angeles, you can take the Metro Red or Purple Line and get off at the Civic Center/Grand Park station. From there, it's a short walk to the establishment.
If you're driving, take the 110 freeway and exit at Temple Street. There are several paid parking lots nearby that you can use. Alternatively, there is limited street parking available as well.
