From the moment we flew the American flag and refused to shut down, the landlord has harassed trying to find ways to evict over and over again. We beat back his previous attempts, with us in victory ultimately forcing him to plant the 40 ft. Basilico's flagpole on his property located in front of the restaurant. Now here we go again.
The landlord who has shown nothing but hostility toward what we stand for since day one — is back, attempting to push us out, and he attacks while hiding behind his attorneys and property managers, refusing to face us. Over time, since renting from him, we have experienced unreasonable demands, excessive fees, and continued interference that makes it increasingly difficult to operate. And while we have always aimed to resolve matters professionally, the situation has once again escalated, because this landlord engages in conduct that is considered unfair, improper, and even tactics that we believe are fraudulent. These raise serious legal concerns, which we are actively addressing.
Since 2020, Basilico’s hasn’t just been a restaurant — it’s been a battleground. When the tiny tyrants ordered the lockdowns, we didn’t bend and were uncompromising. We waged war on anyone who attacked our beliefs and principles in defense of our cherished American way of life. We stood our ground for God, Family, Country when most folded. We gladly took the hits, the threats, the attacks — from the city, the county, the state, the feds, 'gavin pelosi', the media, Hollywood, our landlord and even fellow citizens who threatened us with violence — and we’re still standing.
Tony built Basilico’s where it stands now as a tribute to his mother, and It has since grown into a fortress for freedom.
So whatever we decide, we have already accomplished the impossible there, and can proudly drop the mic at any time. Stay tuned for what's next...
