Breakfast in Long Beach has a default answer, and it has for decades. The Potholder Cafe serves more than 30 egg dishes, plus pancakes, French toast, and waffles that come out in portions worth splitting.
Four locations now: Downtown at 301 W Broadway, Belmont Heights at 3700 E Broadway, the Traffic Circle, and Los Alamitos.
Hours are 8am to 1pm Monday through Friday, 8am to 2pm Saturday and Sunday. No reservations, so weekends move fast. Get there early or plan on a wait.
Order the Hobo Omelette or the ABC. You will not leave hungry.
