They didn’t just say “yes” to supporting our Toy Drive —
they opened their hearts, their resources, and even their parking lot to help us create a magical experience for our community’s children.
That kind of kindness is rare… and we are truly grateful.
What makes this even more special is how simple they’ve made it for everyone:

Happy New Year!
As we begin 2025, we reflect on our past and the long way we have come since first starting Los Portales. Who knew that what was previously known as El Mexicano/La Mexicana, where Ricardo started off as a humble dishwasher turned cook to provide for his family, would come back to the family full circle and set he and his wife on an journey they never imagined they could attain in a country where they could hardly speak/understand the language.
The journey of entrepreneurs is not easy. It is one that requires significant sacrifices- missing out on holidays, not attending kids’ games and birthdays, etc. but at some point in our lives we looked at what we created and said “we did it.”
We did not do it alone. We did it with our children, siblings, community, and all the customers, new and loyal, who continue to support Los Portales.
Thank you for another year and we hope we can continue serving you throughout 2025 and beyond.
