🎨 Community Art Day at Hot Tongue 🎨
We’re teaming up with our friend 🧩 Reid 🧩 — Believe in the People, Not the Hype™ for a community art event at Hot Tongue!
Tim is the artist behind the solo show currently hanging in the shop, and we wanted to take things a step further by making it interactive. We’ll have canvases, paper, paints, pastels, and plenty of supplies available for anyone who wants to create. Tim will be painting live throughout the event, and we’ll also be working on a community art piece that we hope everyone will help bring to life.
The event is completely free to attend, and from 12–3 PM we’ll be donating 20% of all pizza sales to an organization that supports arts education and access.

We’re giving away a Gozney Arc Lite!
A few weeks ago, I got to surprise my friend Michael with a brand-new Arc Lite. Pizza oven. We spent an afternoon in his backyard where I gave him my official pizza-making masterclass. I must say, he picked it up fast. Just a few days later, he hosted his first solo pizza night for his family.
Being able to give Michael that oven meant a lot. Our families have shared countless meals together in his backyard over the last year, and I’ve always believed there’s something special about making pizza at home. Burgers and hot dogs are great, but they just don’t hit the same as stretching dough, firing pies, and cooking under the open sky with the people you love.
The good news? Michael isn’t the only one getting an oven.

Our Summer Special is an ode to one of the pizzas that shaped my childhood. It’s nostalgic, a little ridiculous, and honestly not very profitable, but pizza is supposed to be fun.

I’ve been making pizza or delivering it for almost 20 years now, which honestly feels unreal to say out loud. The growth Hot Tongue has seen since the beginning is something I’m incredibly proud of, but what excites me most is still feeling like we’re just getting started.
I used to think pizza was just ingredients.. It’s care, belief, curiosity, and the people around you pushing you to grow.
One thing this industry has taught me is that you never really arrive. There’s always something to learn. Not just about food, but about being a better cook, coworker, leader, friend, and person.
Hot Tongue will never stop learning, evolving, and chasing better. That’s the part that keeps this all exciting for me.
We just dropped our new square program and if you liked it before I think you’ll love the new adjustments.

To get to Glendale Boulevard in Los Angeles, you can take the Metro Local Bus 603 or the Metro Rapid Bus 757. The nearest stops are at the intersection of Glendale Blvd and Fletcher Drive.
If you prefer to drive, there is street parking available on Glendale Boulevard as well as nearby cross streets such as Fletcher Drive and Ripple Street. However, be mindful of any posted parking restrictions and permit requirements.
From downtown LA, you can take the 101 Freeway North and exit at Glendale Boulevard. Turn right onto Glendale Boulevard and continue for approximately two miles until you reach your destination.
