Here's our favourite thing we learned about Marni. π€
When she was at UCLA, she wanted to open a bar in Westwood and call it The Library β so that students could tell their parents, completely truthfully, that they were on their way to the library.
She never built that one. She built this one, decades later, on PCH. Her son told the story better than we can β it's on the site now, link in the first comment.

Sunday at Marni's is a long one. Games on the screens through the afternoon, then Cadillac Zack Presents takes the stage at 5:30 with real blues players.
Tickets for the blues are Zack's, not ours β CadillacZackPresents.com. Everything else is just walk in.
Kitchen's open throughout.

USC and San Jose State kick off at noon β every screen in the building. Kitchen's running all afternoon.
Then at 7 The Dogs plug in, and there's no cover to come see them. Football at noon, live music at seven, one room, one Saturday.
Come for the first half, stay for the second set.

Marni Ga***rd spent a career in entertainment and marketing before opening the bar she'd wanted since she was young. This is her story, and the place she built on Pacific Coast Highway.

It's been two months. π€
We've put together a page for Marni β not an obituary, but the story of why this place exists. It's built almost entirely from what Dylan said at her celebration of life: the bar she wanted to open in Westwood as a student, her years on the production crew of Cheers, the wine bar she imagined before anyone was doing it, and the place on PCH that ended up being all of those at once.
His words carry it. Ours just get out of the way.
The link's in the first comment. Cat Reed plays tonight at 7 β and a full room is the whole point.

Rams and Chargers tonight, the last tune-up before the season actually counts. π
Every screen in the building is on it. Kitchen's open, happy hour runs till 6, and the back room's there if you need to blow off steam between drives.
First come, best seat.

Every Saturday, college football from the morning on. Every Sunday, the pros all day. Thursday nights and Monday nights on top of that.
Twenty-plus screens so everyone's game is on somewhere. Kitchen open throughout. Tables in the back. Happy hour Monday to Friday, 2 to 6.
If you'd rather not go hunting for kickoff times every week, we'll text them to you β link's in the first comment.
