A special treat to beat the heat has arrived in our LA shops!!! We've partnered with our friends at Gelato Festival to bring this ice cold deeeeliciousness to all 3 LA locations - for the perfect donut & ice cream pairings. 8 fabulous flavors will be available in each shop. We recommend starting with our Blueberry Bourbon Basil donut and a scoop of Blueberry Basil Gelato! 💜💚💜💚

We are opening Blue Star Manhattan Beach AND Blue Star Silverlake on Wednesday (7/1)!! Hours to start will be Weds & Thurs 7a-3p and Fri-Sun 7a-6p. (Closed Monday and Tuesday) Hours at Blue Star Venice are Mon-Thurs 7a-6p and Fri-Sun 7a-8p. Brioche (like our classic Apple Cider Fritter 😋) will be available in limited quantities as well on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. YAAAY! We missed you all so much. 🥰❤️🍩

Donut Fam!! National Donut Day is just around the corner! Friday, June 5th! LA will be open (VENICE only). As you’re all familiar with by now, things will look a bit different. We’re SO thankful for your love & patience as we navigate a new way of being (delicious). ❤️✌️🍩

TBH - we’ve debated on moving ahead with this plan. But ultimately it gives us an opportunity not only to bring a little sweetness to this time, but also to support our communities, and our business and remaining staff members after months of closure. Every National Donut Day we donate a portion of proceeds to our community, and this year that will go to . They are an incredible group of young people organizing to take care of LA during this time. ❤️

LA loves! It's tiiiime! After weeks of navigating this ever-changing situation, we are coming back to bring the donut joy! ❤️ Starting on Friday, May 8th, we will open our Venice location for pick up and delivery. Hours (for now) are 7am-2pm x 7 days. We will have a limited (BUT DELICIOUS AS ALWAYS!) menu of vegan cake donuts and beloved buttermilks to start. And just in time for Mother's Day!?! *high fives all around, moms!*
Here's how you can find us for now...
1. Stop by the Venice shop! We'll have pre-packaged 4 donut boxes for grab-n-go along with some deeelish Verve Coffee Roasters nitro in a can. We're starting with pre-packaged boxes to limit touch points in the shop as much as possible. We'll only be allowing 2 (masked) customers in the shop at one time and sanitizing between transactions, of course.
2. Blue Star Venice on Postmates, DoorDash, and Uber Eats. Order & eat! 😋
3. We will also be taking limited pre-orders. Mix and match with our (re)starting lineup - just send a message over to [email protected] and we'll get you set. A 72 hour notice is best!
That's it for now, we'll have more updates about Silverlake and Manhattan Beach once we get this down. We're a super small crew taking the utmost care to ensure staff and customer safety...and that means we have to start slowly. THANK YOU ALL for your patience, love, messages, everything. Donut update! In response to the threats of COVID-19 transmission - we have decided to temporarily pause operations at all 3 Los Angeles locations starting at the end of business today, until further notice. Our hearts are heavy for our crew and our beloved LA communities, and we are doing everything in our power to keep everyone safe and hopeful! ❤️❤️ This break will give us time to reassess the situation and develop some creative solutions to bring the donut love to our community in the safest way possible in the coming months.
