🔥 MEET THE STAFF: FONZ 🔥
For the last 3 years, Fonz has been bringing the low-and-slow magic to Swing Inn BBQ. What started as a 15-year backyard BBQ hobby turned into a true passion during the pandemic — and now he’s serving up recipes he’s proud to call his own.
Around here, brisket is the true test of a great BBQ spot, and according to Fonz, “brisket is my baby.” But after this week? The ribs might be giving it some competition. 👀🔥
One thing he stands by: no gimmicks. The food does the talking.
🥪 Favorite menu item?
The Smoked Turkey Melt on garlic toast with fresh, succulent smoked turkey.
🍞 Fun fact:
When he’s not smoking meats, he’s baking sourdough and cinnamon rolls. (Yes… we officially trust him with carbs AND brisket.) His sourdough starter even has a name: Sherice.
What does he love most about Swing Inn?
The creativity, the constant drive to get better, and the family atmosphere. “I pull up and the camaraderie is what I look forward to.”

A little Temecula history.
Swing Inn Café has been part of this community since 1927. In its early days, it served as a roadside stop along old Highway 395, welcoming travelers, ranchers, and locals looking for a hot meal and a good cup of coffee.
This photo captures Swing Inn during those early highway years, when cars traveling between Los Angeles and San Diego would pull off the road for breakfast, barbecue, and a place to rest before continuing their journey.
Nearly a century later, the heart of Swing Inn is still the same — good food, friendly faces, and a place where stories are shared around the table.
