Opened in 1992 by Don Callender, the founder of the famous Marie Callender's chain, Geezers has been serving delicious American cuisine for almost three decades. The current owner/operator, Bob LaRue, has maintained the high standards set by Don and has made sure that Geezers remains one of the best family-style restaurants in the area.
The restaurant boasts a beautiful 17,000 square foot building that took two years to build at a cost of 4.7 million dollars. The interior seating capacity is over 300, with an additional 75 seats on the patio. The decor is adorned with golf memorabilia and features a life-size statue of Bobby Jones. Golf enthusiasts will love wandering around looking at golf legends of the past and present.
Geezers caters to both the business community during lunchtime and local residents at night and on weekends. Dress is casual, and prices are moderate. The large sports lounge (the 19th hole) features nine satellite receivers and several flat-screen TVs showing all the games you could want.
