Y’all heard me say that a meal is just a meal unless you have the right sauce to go with it. 😏
jk I never said that but I should have lol.
Anyways have you ever felt stuck wondering what the he$^ could you eat cuz you a picky fat a** and you tired of eaten the same thing and have eaten almost everything on this planet? 😮💨
If not I guess that’s just me.😅
So let’s talk about dis dish 🍽
The other day I was seriously craving Mapo Tofu right and let’s be honest it’s a real challenge to find a decent place that sells it and is both flavorful and makes it with NO ❌Sugar.
Every time I ask them, “can you make it without sugar?” I get this look like make it yourself. 😒
So fine!
I’ll do just that. I’ll slave away in the kitchen for my own personal cravings. 😤
Traditionally it’s cooked with ground pork, chopped tofu, Sichuan pepper, chili oil, and a bunch of other stuff all served over white rice and garnished w/ green onions. and yes let’s not forget sugar gets added. But we don’t 🙅🏼♂️ play by dem rules around here.
So here is my interpretation of the dish and of course I’m gonna cook outside the cooking box w/ a twist 😁 add a pinch 🤏🏼 of Fusion Cookery. 👨🏻🍳
So Let’s Eat!
Black vermicelli noodles, ground Turkey 🦃 and tofu Balls. Hit it w/ some Sichuan & Chile de Arbol sauce garnished w/ green onions w/ a side of steamed bokchoy.
Let’s just say 🤯.
