Dear Valued Customers,
I hope this message finds you well. It is with mixed emotions that we share some bittersweet news with you. After much reflection and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to retire and, as a result, close the doors of Borsh Deli.
This past year has been an incredible journey, and we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported us along the way. Your loyalty and patronage have meant the world to us, and we are truly blessed to have had such an amazing community of customers.
The decision to retire was not an easy one, but as we embark on this new chapter in our lives, we carry with us the memories of the wonderful moments we've shared with you at Borsh Deli. Your smiles, kind words, and support have been the driving force behind our passion for providing delicious meals and a welcoming atmosphere.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of the Borsh Deli family. Your support has been the foundation of our success, and we are forever grateful. Though our time together at Borsh Deli may be coming to an end, the memories we've created together will always hold a special place in our hearts.
As we bid farewell, please know that this decision was made with a heavy heart, but we are confident that it is the right choice for us at this time. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.
Thank you once again for being a part of our journey. Borsh Deli would not have been the same without you. We wish you all the best, and we hope our paths may cross again in the future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Karen, George and all of us at The Borsh Deli

What people say
Borsh Deli is a hidden gem located on Los Alamitos Boulevard that offers an authentic taste of Eastern Europe. The deli specializes in traditional Russian and Ukrainian dishes like borscht, pierogis, and stuffed cabbage rolls that are sure to satisfy any craving for comfort food. In addition to their delicious homemade meals, Borsh Deli also imports a wide variety of Eastern European meats, cheeses, snacks, and beverages from Armenia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia, Germany, Poland and Belarus.
What sets Borsh Deli apart is the passion and dedication of its owners George and Karen Hajian. Karen's childhood memories of her grandmother's cooking inspired her to learn how to cook herself. After a successful career in nursing, she decided to open her own deli with her husband George. Their love for the food they grew up on is evident in every dish they serve.
The atmosphere at Borsh Deli is warm and welcoming with friendly staff who are happy to help you navigate the menu. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a hearty dinner, Borsh Deli has something for everyone. Don't miss out on their homemade salads, soups, sweets, cheeses, meats and soft drinks that will transport you straight to Eastern Europe.
Overall, Borsh Deli is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for authentic Eastern European cuisine in Los Alamitos. With its delicious food and friendly atmosphere, it's no wonder why this deli has quickly become a local favorite.
