Message from Trish: “October is breast cancer awareness month. I have had two different types of breast cancer, two mastectomies, and ten reconstructive surgeries. Thank goodness we only have two breasts!

Please do not delay your annual mammogram! My second breast cancer, diagnosed ten years after my first, was detected not by a mammogram or even an ultrasound, but a random biopsy.

is now speaking out about high density breast tissue. It makes it particularly difficult to detect cancer. If you, like me, happen to have high density breast tissue. Be aware and extra diligent. I’m grateful my cancers were caught early. Go get checked!”

For those taking public transport, the closest station is Universal City/Studio City Metro Station. From there, you can take a short walk to Universal CityWalk.

For those driving, take the Hollywood Freeway (101) and exit at Universal Studios Boulevard. Follow signs for Universal CityWalk and park in one of the available lots. Alternatively, you can take the freeway from Burbank or Hollywood and exit at Lankershim Boulevard to reach Universal CityWalk.

Once at Universal CityWalk, look for the doughnut shop located near the center of the complex.
