New York, you were unforgettable.
When , one of the kindest and funniest humans we know, invited us to co-host the official SNL Finale After, After Party, we packed our frowny boxes and headed east.
The menu? A moment we’d dreamed about, bringing to life the iconic Good Burger, plant-based, for one night only. Dexter approved.
But before the night began, we had the honor of walking the halls of SNL. Watching the cast and crew move like poetry, we felt the legacy. Then, we caught a moment with , who welcomed us with open arms. In that room sat , co-founder of Little Pine with , a legend in our world. Her work helped shape the way for brands like ours to exist, and her kindness that night was something we’ll never forget.
At the same time, had just announced its closure. Chef B and her son Aaron had already been working with us behind the scenes, and as a team we tried everything, from offering to cover the back rent to stepping in as a lifeline. They’ve given nearly a decade of love to their community. That matters. The landlord had already leased the space, but when we asked Kenan if we could bring them to cook at the event, it was an instant yes.
Chef B and Aaron didn’t just show up, they lit the place up. Two kind souls who gave everything, without hesitation. Their presence reminded us what food, community, and legacy are really about.
We had four VIP tickets to give away, they were claimed and celebrated. But then, someone leaked the code on social. The DMs started flying, the line kept forming, and before we knew it, over 650 people rolled through the doors.
To the team at After Docks NYC — thank you. You didn’t just host us, you held space for something unforgettable. You let the night breathe. You welcomed everyone in. Because of you, this wasn’t just an event, it was a memory.
So, what’s next?
Oh, we can’t wait to tell you.
Really. Standby….🍎
