We are hosting open interviews!

We are looking for passionate FOH/Baristas and Line Cooks to join our team!

First and foremost, candidates must be confident in their excellent customer service skills, show a warm attitude, and have at least one year of prior experience in the specific position you are applying for. Candidates must also have open availability to work weekends and holidays.

For our FOH/barista applicants, basic requirements include proficiency in espresso extraction, milk steaming, beverage preparation, and managing POS orders with a friendly smile.
For line cooks, requirements involve solid prep and knife skills, knowledge of food safety standards, speed on the line, and keeping a clean, efficient station.

Sala Sound Sessions ft. Los Rebeldes Romanticos
This summer we’re introducing Sala Sound Sessions, a curated live music series designed to bring our community together over an admiration of music and wine.

Sala brings a night of Boleros to Long Beach! Save the date Saturday, August 29th, for an evening dedicated to the soulful rhythms and romantic melodies of Bolero. Originating in Spain in the late 18th century before finding its true heartbeat in Cuba and Mexico, Bolero is more than just a musical genre, it is a poetic tradition of storytelling. While it began as a ballroom dance, it has since evolved into the sophisticated, slow-tempo ballad we recognize today, defined by its signature guitars, percussion, and evocative vocals. It is the music of sentimiento, an art form designed to explore the nuances of love, longing, and the bittersweet beauty of heartbreak.

New Dak Coffee Roasters drop just hit Sala!

Lemon Spritz, a washed heirloom lot from Gedeb, Ethiopia. Its crisp profile opened with notes of chilled lemon ice tea and sweet apricot jam, fading into delicate white florals that highlighted the region’s clean, bright acidity.

Exploring Colombia, Poppy Soda brings an effervescent energy with its multi-stage washed Pink Bourbon beans from Quindio. Bright lemonade notes merged with fragrant jasmine tea and soft peach, creating a refined, tea-like elegance.

Surf Jam offers a completely different take on Gedeb soil, utilizing natural processing to draw out deep, sun-dried fruit sweetness. Showing heavy-bodied notes of dark blackberry, cherry jam, and sweet dates.

Shifting to Caranavi, Bolivia, Strawberry Land delivers a dessert forward profile. This naturally processed Ethiosar variety highlighted the region’s high-altitude terroir with warm amaretto and ripe strawberry characteristics.

Berry Swirl pushs Bolivian coffee further through anaerobic natural fermentation. Oxygen free fermentation unlocked a dark, complex profile driven by forest fruits, tart blue plum, and rich berry jam.

Blueberry Beats rounds out the lineup from Sidamo, Ethiopia, using anaerobic natural processing to craft a deeply comforting cup. Overflowing with blueberry clafoutis, stewed fruits, and sweet vanilla, it brought the flavor exploration to a rich close.

To get to the coffee shop and restaurant at Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach via public transport, take the Blue Line Metro towards Downtown Long Beach and get off at 5th Street Station. From there, walk south on Long Beach Boulevard for three blocks until you reach Atlantic Avenue. The coffee shop and restaurant will be on your right.

If driving and looking for parking options, there is a parking lot located behind the coffee shop that can be accessed by turning onto E 3rd Street from Long Beach Boulevard. Additionally, there is street parking available on Atlantic Avenue and surrounding streets. Please note that some areas may have time limits for parking.
